sleep, or lack of it...

so im not sure whats going on. for the past 2 weeks, i haven't been able to sleep. i used to be one of those people up until 4 or 5 every night, and then like a year ago my body decided to act normal for a change....bedtime at 1130p and up at 730a every day. like clockwork. ha.

well, i guess it was nice while it lasted. i. cant. sleep. i am so over it. its 4am and im wide awake. this is so lame.

if i had something else exciting to tell you, i would. but, all i've really done is work. counting down the days until i leave for vegas. june 11 won't come soon enough.

the unintended consequence of rain

as some of you might know, sascha is not a big fan of the rain....

i thought she had gone out and done her "thing" prior to us leaving for dinner, but alas, sascha never fails to, um, well, deliver.

ah, the pleasure of having a 100lb farty dog.

attack of the valets, part deux

apparently i am not meant to valet my car, ever. either that, or the valet guy didn't like my bumper sticker.

this was courtesy of the parking service at kinkeads on sunday night. $689 for a bumper cover, thank you so much.

the most fun i've had in a car in a long long time

easy kitties, don't get any dirty ideas. i really did have the most fun in a car i've had in a very long time. we got our first shipment of 07 Spyders yesterday. so, i took a GT 6speed home last night. top down, stereo blasting, flying up the beltway at 1030 last night.

so much goddamned fun.

funny looking or not, if that car doesn't put a smile on your face you are retarded. or a republican or something. same thing.

brussels

yes my kitties, i know i have denied you a post for quite a while, so i'm going to take a minute and give you a quick update.

im here in brussels visiting friends for a few days. my computer apparently wasn't in the mood to speak french or dutch, so im using their mac for a few minutes to put this up.

to bring you up to speed, i spent the majority of february working my butt off to hit our mitsubishi goal, visiting my mom in NJ, drinking and uh, well, one other thing i shouldn't have done. and no, im not telling you what that thing is. so there.

so on march 1st my bankruptcy came off my credit report. 10 years is a long long long time to wait. but, it feels really good to know its over with. that represented a really rough time for me, and im glad its done.

i left for belgium (also on 3/1), eric dropped me off at dulles 2 1/2 hours before my flight. you would think that would have been enough time, but apparently you now need to leave like 9 hours before an international flight. i literally waited in line at the ticket counter for an hour and a half, then baggage, then security. i barely made my flight. i figured i'd have enough time to get a starbucks, smoke a cigarette, have a nosh, and get on the plane. but no, i made it to the gate at like 530, and the plane took off at 542. gross.

***note to united airlines: it might be a good idea to have more than 4 ticket agents working when there are about 700 people waiting at the international counter.

anyway, my flight was fine, the plane was practically empty. made it through customs in like 2 seconds, grabbed my bag and jumped in a taxi. 15 minutes later i was at my friends house. its a very nice 4 level townhouse in downtown brussels. great location, close to shops, trams, metro, etc. we've just been chilling, eating good food, walking around the city...basic stuff. like what i do at home. only in french. thank god they speak french. ha.

a special shout out to alyssa and doug for being such great hosts. merci :)

ok kitties, i'll be back in a couple of days. if i get around to taking some pictures while im here, i'll post them for you.

perhaps they haven't realized the market is cooling off

all i have to say is that if they get $699k for this (no a/c, only 1.5 bathrooms), the car daddy is putting his house on the market with a quickness. this turd is only 2 houses down from mine. fyi, it looks much nicer in the picture than in the real. details here.

usually you just get rolled under the bus

omg this is my favorite news story of the day. according to cnn, a bus driver threw a bitchy passenger off the bus into traffic.

fabulous. could you blame him? my new hero. ha.

a gnarly problem?

my favorite grrrrrl was back in the news again. the washington post reported that courtney is doing well after drug treatment, etc etc etc.

c-love, i love ya.....you know you my boo. get better, put out a new kickass record, and go on tour. every time i've had tickets to see you play, you end up in jail, in rehab, or some sort of trouble that ends up with the concert being cancelled. i really want to see you play, mmmkay?

i knew there was something up. i must be nostradomowitz or something.

the dope show

while today was a completely sucky workday, it was an excellent music day.

i listened to mechanical animals and pre-millennium tension. sweeeet.

i actually have quite a bit to post, but i'm not sure if i will or not. perhaps one of my computer-nerd friends can let me know if there is a way to allow certain posts to only be viewed by people i ok to do so. otherwise, i'll have to keep some things to myself. sigh.

how dirty girls get clean

according to rolling stone, courtney love is back in the studio recording the follow up to americas sweetheart. bitchin....she is my most favorite of all rock chicks. note to friends that will be riding in the car with me...bring your earplugs, ladies.

donde esta la montoya familia?

apparently the previous owners of my home telefono number was the montoya family. they were quite popular it seems. in the past couple of weeks i've learned that their daughter has been skipping math class, mr. montoya has purchased the "girls gone wild" videos (or would that be chicas gone loco?), and that mrs. (blanca) montoya is using a social security number that doesn't match the IRS (marty from the montgomery county tax office left a voicemail).

i've been meaning to cancel the home phone since i never use it, but at the same time im not sure if i want to end my relationship with the montoyas. they seem to be fascinating people. like reality tv. on my voicemail.

back in kensington

im home. it was great to see lesley and hang out in dallas for a bit. i finally figured out who all the crazy drunk people were in the hotel. i knew there was some sort of convention thing going on, but i didn't know exactly what it was. turns out to be some crazy mineral water pyramid scheme thingy. last night, i went to the bar in the hotel for a couple of drinks before bed. when i got there, a lot of these cracked out convention-people were there. so, i hung out in the hotel bar with some of the "independent contractors". my favorite was a trashy girl named shawna (of course). she was decked out in her evening-wear, which looked like a $40 red prom dress. she is a distributor of said water....it was like some freaky cult. this group was a bunch of absolute mental patients. i was fascinated.

on the flight home, i again realized how much i hate most people. i was stuck on the plane with a herd of 12 year old girls....they were in some gymnastics thing i guess. i literally was surrounded by lexi, hallie, sam, and some other clones. it was so annoying. they would NOT shut up the entire flight. i tried to keep my mouth shut, but i had to say something a couple of times because they were pissing me off so much.

so....we land at reagan, and taxi to the gate. the second we hit the gate, im up and haul ass down like 7 rows before people even start getting out of their seats. then, everyone gets up, so of course i have to wait while people get their bags and stuff. at which point some cunty woman who was clearly the creator of one of those little gymnasto-bitches says "i wish people would wait their turn to try to get off the plane", referring to me. so, i look at her and say a little too loudly, "um, i've been stuck with those goddamned girls for 3 hours, and i'm getting off this plane as fast as i can!!!!" well, everyone looks at me like i'm satan or something. so i bust off the plane, get to baggage claim and wait for my stuff so i can leave.

of course there was a delay with the luggage and i had to stand there and wait 20 minutes while all the parents glared at me. it was such a typical moment for me......yet again i have to deal with someones stupid ass kids, but i'm the bad guy. bastards.

i hate you DC gymnasto-bitches. and i hate your stupid parents too.

isn't it hard to believe im single?

good night and good luck and a big gay dallas ticket

went to see good night and good luck, which was really good. we went in downtown dallas...kinda near where the gays are known to congregate. cool theater, blah blah blah. then off to bone daddys for some texas barbecue. shocking i know, but i ate too much. but it was gooooood.

rollin down spring valley in the p-i-m-p cadillac, i get pulled over for crossing a double white line. seriously. im not even making it up. i'd be ok with getting busted for 20 miles over, or something fun like that. but all i did was move over into the left lane like a foot and a half before i was supposed to. thank you officer locke for the $165 ticket. im sorry that the DTS is way cooler than your gay police car. and you weren't even hot.

texas

well, here i am back in dallas. for those of you in the know, i used to live in plano. im here visiting some friends for a few days, so it should be a good time. even though i wouldn't want to live here again, i always have a great time when i come to visit.

i haven't stayed in this hotel before, and to be honest, im not particularly happy with my room. its very small, and clearly the hotel staff is not aware of who i am. a shout out to avis car rental, as they clearly recognized my social standing and upgraded me to a baby blue cadillac DTS. thats right, i am a p-i-m-p. word.

there appears to be some sort of national high school sport competition or something going on. i couldn't figure out what the sport was (as im clueless), but apparently a requirement is that you are 19, hot, and wearing adidas snappy pants. so, while my room is less than perfect, lets just say the view in the lobby was 5 stars. and 2 snaps for that matter.

on the homefront, the new puppy should be arriving on 2/1. or at least thats what they tell me right now. you would think for $1800 they would be eager to sell me a dog, but i've been caught up in some red dobergirl snafu. the volvo has passed inspection and is now in my driveway with valid license plates. keep in mind this car was a trade in, and i never had it cleaned when i bought it last year. i just stuffed it in the garage and forgot about it. i knew it was filthy and would need a full detail, but here is what i have found in it so far:
1. 3 furry almonds
2. something that appears to be a tostito
3. used tissues (yum)
4. 17 cents
5. smashed cheerios

im going to pappadeauxs for dinner tonight with lesley and connie. i plan on wearing my eatin pants....awesome.

3 feet high and rising...

thats right....i took it back to '89 or '90 or whenever it was that i first heard de la soul. such a good cd. it totally made my drive home.

to give you some updates, the battleship passed inspection and i get to pick it up tomorrow. some belts and hoses, radiator and transmission flush, etc. yippee....hopefully it will last me a couple of years. on the puppy front, the dogs come on tuesday. im going to try to sneak up there on wednesday to pick out my new child. thursday morning, i leave for dallas. i'll be there until sunday, should be a good time.

howard stern is on larry king. for those of you in the know, i really dislike larry. i bumped into him one time on connecticut avenue (by mistake of course), and he wasn't very nice. i do, however, absolutely love howard. i think he is amazing. my problem is that sirius radio doesn't really have a good system yet. the car contraptions are all horrible with wires and antennas and stuff, and their new sirius mini thing doesn't actually let you listen live...you have to download and then take it with you. hardly convenient, is it? so, i'm waiting for them to come up with one of those new 2go thingies, but who knows how long that will take? in the meantime, i might have to suffer without my howie. what a shame.

im off tomorrow....i have to get some heartguard and kibbles for sascha, then i think im going to go shopping, and if i have time, i want to see either munich or transamerica. guess it will depend on my mood :)

finally....i'm disappointed. i hate when people don't turn out to be who you thought they were. i have a really close circle of friends, i don't really believe in having a bunch of acquaintances. so, its always unfortunate when one proves you wrong.

now you are geisha

so steven took the train here and we went to bethesda for dinner and a movie. we don't have the same taste (i wanted to see munich), but i'd read the book so i agreed to see memoirs of a geisha. i have to say, the movie wasn't nearly as bad as i thought it would be, although it was a little long. some tool behind us provided commentary and loud sighs, so that was a wonderful experience.

i'm kinda tired, so i don't really feel like a long post right now. i'll provide you with more entertainment and insight tomorrow.

2006

well happy new year everyone. i do hope 2006 is your banner year. personally, i'm hoping for some indictments and please please please lord gimme an impeachment. yes, that would make 2006 the most superest year ever.

went to seths house, had a drink, ate some food, fun was had by all.

freida the german shepard is here for the weekend. last time she stayed she was very skittish and whined all night. this time, all is well in puppy-land. she is happy and playing with sascha. yay.
